This simple salmon recipe is even better when you turn it into a sheet pan dinner. Add chopped vegetables and get a complete dinner cooked in less than thirty minutes.

Directions
Ingredients
- 1 Wild Alaskan Sockeye filet
- 2 tbsp. melted lard, butter, tallow, or olive oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Italian herbs, to taste
- Old Bay seasoning, to taste (optional)
- Lemon wedges, to garnish
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Lay the salmon fillet over a metal bowl to expose pin bones. Using a pair of tweezers, carefully extract bones. See our guide for a step-by-step process.
- Transfer the filet to a baking sheet. Brush with preferred fat and drizzle juice of 1 lemon over filet. Season well with salt, pepper, Italian herbs, and Old Bay seasoning. (Want to make this a sheet-pan dinner? Add chopped onions, tomatoes, peppers, or root veggies and nestle around the salmon.)
- Bake salmon for 15-20 minutes in the oven, or until opaque and flakes easily. Serve with lemon wedges.
