This salmon is caught by the Bond family on their fishing boats in Bristol Bay. Bristol Bay has one of the largest populations of sockeye salmon; fishers and biologists work alongside one another to ensure that the salmon are sourced sustainably.
You'll also find that these filets are higher quality than what you'll find in the store. They're flash frozen and left with the pin bones intact. This preserves the freshness of the meat, since removing the pin bones often requires the salmon to be refrigerated for 3-5 days prior to removal, decreasing the nutrient density and quality of the meat. The pin bone removal machines also often tear the filet, resulting in a lower-quality product.

Our favorite way to cook this salmon? With lemon, herbs, and chopped vegetables to make it a sheet pan dinner.
