Grilled Chicken Heart Skewers
Make organs part of your grilling routine with these easy chicken heart skewers. They're chewy and crisp in just the right way, and packed with nutrition.

Directions

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. chicken hearts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp. dijon mustard
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions

  1. Make marinade: In a bag or bowl, combine 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar, 2 teaspoons dijon mustard, 2 teaspoons garlic, 1 teaspoon salt and 1.2 teaspoon pepper. Mix and add chicken hearts, making sure to coat in marinade. 
  2. Let hearts rest in marinade for 1 hour. 
  3. Put chicken hearts on skewers. 
  4. Preheat grill to medium high heat and make sure your grill grates are oiled. Grill for about 15 minutes, turning every 5 minutes. Cooking time will vary, but the internal temperature should read 165°F.
  5. Serve hearts with dipping sauce and enjoy!
