Basic Egg Casserole
Our go-to meal to make ahead when we have a busy day or holiday meal. It feeds a crowd or makes enough for multiple breakfasts!

Ingredients

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease a 9 x 13 pan with butter or oil and set aside. 
  2. Brown in the pork in a skillet over medium heat, breaking up into small pieces. Turn off the heat, and spread the pork on the bottom of the 9 x 13 pan, using a spatula.
  3. Whisk together 8 eggs in a bowl. Add 2 cups of milk and whisk until combined. Add salt and pepper, about 1 tsp of salt and 1/2 tsp. pepper.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage. Distribute the sourdough bread cubes evenly, and top with shredded cheese. Add salt and pepper to top and place in the oven.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until set. Cool for 5-10 min before serving.

Make ahead: We love to make this the night before! Cook and store in the fridge overnight, then reheat in the oven in the morning.
