5 Reasons to Buy a Whole or Half Beef

1- You'll save money.

Worried about inflation? Want to buy pasture-raised grass-fed meat on a budget? When you buy in bulk, you receive a year's worth of meat - at a fixed price that won't change.

2- You can decide what you want - and plan ahead.

Planning Christmas dinner? Need to stock up on ground beef for burgers, meatloaf, and hundreds of other uses? Love grilling or slow cooking? When you buy in bulk, you decide which cuts you want, and how much you want of each.

3- It's cheaper.

At $7.99/lb, an average half beef (about 175 lbs. of take-home meat) will provide your family with a year's worth of meat - for an average of only $42.25/week. Compare that to the price of a single pack of grass-fed ribeye at retail value, which is around $17.

4- You'll invest in your local economy.

Much like a vegetable CSA, buying meat in bulk can be beneficial for the consumer and the farmer. You provide extra support to your farmer by committing to a large share of their product.

5- You'll invest in your health.

Pasture-raised beef contains significantly higher amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid, and vitamins A, and E. Moreover, conventionally raised beef has been classified as a Group 2A carcinogen, meaning that it likely causes cancer, due to the carcinogenic chemicals that processed meat contains.
