** Now Offering Local Honey!
We've teamed up with our good friend Dustin at Blue Fork Creek Farms in Burlington, and we're now carrying his honey in our online store.

Dustin's honey is 100% natural, raw, and offered in 16 oz. bottles. Like all of our farm partners, his farm is small, family-focused, and operates on a human scale, so that care and attention can be given to the animals.

Even if you've already placed your order for this week, you can still add honey! Simply login and edit your existing order before the order deadline.

** Pork: Now Offering Shanks & Jowls
We received some pork shanks and jowls for this week's delivery from our friends at Okfuskee Farm. Having just cooked some beef shanks this weekend, I'd encourage you to try them - the taste is truly incredible.

The pork shank comes from the pig's front forearm. Since pigs develop strong muscles foraging in the woods and pastures, the cut can be tough; however, the marrow from the bone surrounding the shank also provides it with a deep, rich flavor. Shanks should be braised slowly - cook it in a rich broth all day long for tender, flavorful meat. Not sure where to start? The pork jowl is a cut from the pig's cheek. You can cure it and fry it, just like bacon (see this recipe (https://www.thefoodinmybeard.com/recipe/crispy-pork-jowl-buns/) for some ideas), or you can use the jowl to flavor some beans. ** Got beef?
We're taking two steers to the processor in July, and three more in August. Since beef is flying out of our freezers these days, why not reserve 1/4 or 1/2 cow, instead of buying individual cuts? You'll receive all the beef you need for several months to a year, and you can also ensure that you'll receive several portions of our most popular cuts. Did we mention the huge savings compared to retail prices? Go in with a friend or neighbor, and share the savings.

1/4 beef is about 100 lbs., and $9/lb.
1/2 beef is about 200 lbs., and $8.50/lb.
